Common Abortion FAQs

  • An ultrasound can show how far along you are and whether the pregnancy is in the uterus. That matters for your safety and for understanding your options, including abortion. A limited ultrasound is offered free of charge at the Middlebury, VT location for those who qualify and is scheduled based on nurse availability.

Even with a positive test, not every pregnancy continues. About 1 in 4 end naturally in the early weeks. An ultrasound can help clarify what is happening so you are not making important decisions in the dark.

If you are considering the abortion pill, this step is especially important. The abortion pill is FDA approved through 10 weeks of pregnancy, and last period dates can be off. An ultrasound is the most reliable way to confirm timing and location.

You deserve accurate information and a calm, pressure free space to process your next steps. This free of charge, confidential appointment helps you understand what is going on in your body so you can choose the next step with confidence.

  • The Women’s Center does not perform or refer for abortions or birth control. All information is provided for educational purposes only.

Feeling unsure about next steps can be overwhelming.
